My name is Dr. Curtis Barrett, and I am the owner of English Editing Solutions, an editing and consulting business registered and located in the Netherlands (Dutch Chamber of Commerce number 52359255). You may contact me in my capacity as the data controller through my contact form.
Why I process your personal data
I may collect, store and/or use your personal data solely to issue a quotation, provide professional services, and/or comply with legal requirements. Personal data collected may include your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and/or employer. I will never use your personal data for marketing purposes or share your information with any third party without your express consent.
The legal basis for processing your data is to perform the services you request or to take necessary steps prior to fulfilling that request (GDPR 6(1b) “performance of a contract”). The same legal basis also applies if you provide me with a service.
How long I keep your personal data
I keep personal data for at least five years in order to comply with tax obligations. In the case of services received, I will keep your personal data for up to five years solely for administrative purposes. All email communications are routinely deleted and purged after 1-5 years.
Your data access rights
You may contact me at any time to request a copy, rectification or erasure of your personal data.
Your right to lodge a complaint
Should you have any questions of concerns regarding how I store or process your personal data, please contact me. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in the country where you live.
